Ken Tormey, Chief Revenue Officer, Typetec
Typetec, one of Ireland’s leading managed IT and cyber security solutions provider, has announced a new partnership with Darktrace to generate an estimated €1 million in revenue in the first year.
Through this strategic partnership, Typetec will deliver a self-learning artificial intelligence (AI) solution that detects and autonomously responds to cyber-threats.
As a global leader in AI for cyber security, Darktrace delivers pioneering technology that protects over 5,000 businesses worldwide from advanced threats including ransomware, cloud, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) attacks.
Leveraging Darktrace’s AI centric model of continuous real-time learning, detection, and reaction, Typetec will provide Irish businesses with enhanced security and automated threat investigations, enabling teams to prioritise and focus on core business tasks.
Being described as a fundamental shift in cyber security protection, self learning AI learns on the job from real-time data rather than using large volumes of historical data. Integrating with Typetec’s proactive cyber security service, this solution can now identify and stop zero-day attacks reassuring Irish businesses of the highest levels of protection.
This new partnership will enable autonomous decision-making, thus reducing the time taken to respond and remediate cyber-threats. The solution will also deliver Intelligence Augmentation, a fundamental technology to enhance human capabilities that automatically delivers meaningful insights, designed to be easily consumed and understood by security and business users.
Furthermore, as a value-added reseller, Typetec will provide Irish businesses with full consultancy, implementation, and support – from technology trials through to operational readiness.
Ken Tormey, Chief Revenue Officer Typetec commented “With cyber-attacks becoming increasingly prevalent and sophisticated in Ireland, we wanted to partner with a global leader that could provide us with the most advanced cybersecurity solutions available. Darktrace ticked all the boxes, and its self-learning AI technology enables us to provide even higher levels of real-time protection for both known and unknown threats as they emerge. In this era of remote and hybrid working, this new partnership will further strengthen our cybersecurity capabilities and deliver further protection and reassurance to our growing customer base.”
Francesca Bowen, Global Head of Partnerships at Darktrace added “Darktrace are delighted to be partnering with Typetec. We can be in little doubt that we have entered a new era of cyber-threats and this partnership will be crucial in empowering organisations across Ireland to interrupt attacks with self-learning, autonomous response technology and minimise business disruption.”
