Viatal announces data centre deal with Kingston Technology

Irish cloud and connectivity company Viatel has announced a deal with the world’s largest
manufacturer of memory products Kingston Technology. The deal will see the US multinational take substantial managed data centre space and connectivity in Viatel’s Blanchardstown
data centre facility. Kingston will also occupy some office space within the facility to base critical operations.

The data centre facility will house Kingston’s EMEA cloud computing, data storage and other mission critical digital assets for the next five years with a contract value in excess of €1.4 million.

Commenting on the announcement Viatel Director of Sales and Marketing Damien McCann stated “We are delighted welcome Kingston Technology to the growing number of clients choosing Viatel as home to critical cloud applications. We look forward to building on this relationship for many years to come”

Kingston was founded in 1987 and is the world’s largest independent manufacturer
of memory products with over 3,000 employees globally.
