When is it on?
5pm – 9pm Tuesday October 3rd
How many years has it been going?
1.5 years
What was the inspiration to start it?
With employees moving jobs more frequently than ever before, UpStarter is aimed at experienced jobseekers who may be looking for a career change. Our event is different than anything else in the recruitment space. It is casual, takes place in the evening and is more of a networking event over a few drinks than a careers fair. We want people who might not necessarily be looking for a new job to drop in and have a chance to understand the huge variety of positions that exist within Ireland
What exciting things can people look forward to ?
The next event showcase some of Ireland’s most innovative companies including Accenture, Zendesk, Deloitte, Websummit, Voxpro, EY, & Amazon to name a few. The 20+ companies attending UpStarter will be hiring for over 500 roles across Ireland. These jobs come in a variety of positions from AI experts and front end developers to product managers and customer experience executives.
What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?
Make sure to do some research on the companies beforehand and the roles they are looking to fill. When you are at the event, you really need to approach the companies you are interested in – they aren’t going to come and find you.
How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?
Tickets are available here at no cost – https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/upstarter-dublin-october-edition-tickets-36859208886 The event usually sells out about a week in advance.
