Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

Rory Stoney, founder of StoneyCNC @STONEYCNC, completed his undergraduate degree in Trinity college Dublin, followed by a PhD in the development and application of novel sensor technologies in industrial production CNC equipment. StoneyCNC now operates out of main headquarters in the DCU innovation campus in North Dublin, as well as a logistics base in the UK.

StoneyCNC provide a range of premium CNC router systems to the UK and Irish Markets. With exclusive relationships with existing suppliers across Europe, and a growing customer base, StoneyCNC is helping start-ups, SME’s and large companies cope with the long lead-times and inflexibility of outsourcing prototyping and production work. With machines in the biomedical, agricultural, automotive, architectural, marine, food, switchgear, and renewable energy sectors as well as the conventional joinery and furniture makers of the CNC world we have a vast range of skills and experience in multiple domains with our systems.

We are expanding our range into larger flat bed full sheet systems, small precision milling machines and plasma cutting systems. We also offer a range of high end design, prototyping and fabrication consultancy services.

In addition to offering CNC related products we offer high end design, process automation, prototyping and fabrication services. We have CNC automation equipment running in high end research projects in Trinity College Dublin, and recently redesigned and built 10 beta testing units for a biomedical drug research device for Profector Life sciences in Maynooth.
