Fiachra Comhrai, Co-founder at Bill Winner
According to The European Commission, for the first nine months of 2023, HICP inflation in Ireland remained high, reaching 5 percent in September. In addition, figures from Eurostat show Ireland’s price level for consumer goods and services was a whopping 46% above the EU average in 2022 alone. With prices set to continue to rise across the country in the months ahead, how do you get the best value? One person who can help with this is Fiachra Comhrai, the CEO and Co-founder of Bill Winner.
Ronan recently spoke to Fiachra about his background, what Bill Winner does, crowd sourcing the best price the Battle of the Bills campaign and more.
The concept for Bill Winner was first developed in 2017 by entrepreneurs Fiachra Ó Comhraí and Cormac Horan who had both previously worked together to build a gamification layer for Salesforce which wasn’t as successful as they had hoped. Seeking a change of direction career wise and battling bills, the pair decided to develop a company based around renewal management.
They sought to produce one that would enable individuals to better manage bills and compare prices – an idea that would become Bill Winner. With investors responding quickly and positively, the ambitious pair launched the company two years ago. Their goal is to become the world’s most trusted and independent platform powered by consumers for making decisions on bills and contract renewals.
