The agenda of Slush Tokyo 2017 features multiple, diverse themes ranging from AI to revolutionary food technology. The event will showcase the most outstanding entrepreneurs sharing their stories. Moreover, 80 startups will compete on stage, displaying some of tomorrow’s products and services. Here’s a little preview of what to expect.



The Keynote Stage presents first-hand, inspirational stories that come from a list of founders and other fascinating individuals.

Speakers bring along insights from several fields, such as AI, fintech, space, IoT, and robotics. Keynote speakers include Steve Jang, Angel Investor and Uber advisor, Takeshi Hakamada, Founder & CEO of ispace technology inc., Yasukane Matsumoto Founder & CEO Raksul, Shoko Takahashi, Founder & CEO of Genequest, Kaidi Ruusalepp, Founder & CEO of Funderbeam, and Rajesh Sawney, Founder & CEO of Innerchef, just to name a few.

Bring Your Questions to Slush Cafe

Here, attendees will get the opportunity to share a platform with speakers, and engage in friendly and open discussions in a relaxed environment. Since the microphones used for questions are soft and throwable, audience is able to enjoy the unique experience of ‘playing catch’ with our speakers. Attendees will also have the chance to take part in interactive workshops and panels over a cup of coffee.

Connect at the Dialogue Stage

Attendees are welcome to take part in various workshops and sessions at the Dialogue Stage. This stage provides will provide attendees with chance to make friends meet future co-workers. There will be speed dating contents, interactive tech, workshops and more.

Feel the Thrill at  Pitch Stage

After receiving hundreds of applications, 80 distinguished startups have been announced to take part in Slush Tokyo’s annual Pitch Contest. During the contest, all participants will be screened by international investors as they showcase their ideas on Pitch Stage. Day two of the event will see the finalists attempt to impress the judges and the audience. Don’t forget to check out the demo booths, located at the center of the venue, wherein over 40 prominent startups will display their work.


The leading international startup event in Asia, Slush Tokyo has gathered together over 690 entrepreneurs and 200 investors during the past two years. “This year the event is expecting over 5,000 attendees, including 500+ startups, 200 investors and 400 volunteers,” tells the CEO of Slush Tokyo, Antti Sonninen. “In the venue, startups will be showcased on stages and demo booths, startups will pitch in the 80 company pitch contest for the grand prize, investors and startups will have meetings in the meeting area, and much more.”

 Slush is a non-profit event organized for the first time in Helsinki in 2008 by a community of entrepreneurs, investors, students and festival organizers. In 2015 the movement made a new home in Asia. Slush has been one of the key factors in building a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Nordics and now also in Asia.
