Space Week is taking place this week and is Ireland’s newest national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) week in parallel with World Space Week. People will explore how as citizens ‘Under One Sky’ the power of critical thinking, creativity, science and technology can shape our understanding of life on Earth and our place in the broader Universe. To help celebrate Space Week Irish Tech News are doing a series of space themed podcasts starting with Nasa Social Media Alumni Tara Foster.
#AroundIrelandOnAPushie is a challenge that will take Tara a TV producer on a journey across Ireland. Yesterday Tara met Ronan in a Dublin Coffee shop and she explained how #AroundIrelandOnAPushie came about, what it entails and how Twitter is helping her journey around Ireland. She also spoke about the time she spent with NASA attending a Social Media program designed by NASA, which Tara will be talking about in Cork as she takes part in Bright Club an event for National Space Week.
