Ryanair, Europe’s No.1 airline, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced that they have extended their longstanding collaboration for a further 5 years.
Through this renewed agreement, Ryanair will continue to leverage AWS’s cloud computing and AI technologies, including Amazon Quick, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, across its business, from powering Europe’s largest airline website and optimising schedules across its fleet of 647 aircraft and 3,900 daily flights, to enhancing operational efficiency through advanced AI tools, digitalising pilot workflows, and supporting employees with innovative apps that improve productivity, communication, and access to real-time information. Ryanair and AWS will build on this momentum and continue to raise the digital innovation bar in aviation using advanced technologies such as agentic AI.
“In addition to our unrivalled low fares, operational performance, and network, Ryanair also leads the air travel industry in digital transformation. AWS has been a key partner in helping us deliver a seamless experience for our customers from booking to boarding, while supporting the efficiency that underpins Ryanair’s low-cost model.
“As we continue to grow to 300m passengers by 2034, having the right technology partners is critical. With that, we’re pleased to renew our long-standing agreement with AWS for another 5 years and look forward to working together to deliver further innovation, enhanced customer experience, and even greater efficiency across the Ryanair Group.”
Tanuja Randery, Vice President and Managing Director, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at AWS, said:
“At AWS, we’re proud to deepen our long-standing relationship with Ryanair, and support them as they reimagine the future of aviation. The industry is at a pivotal moment where cloud technology, AI, and data analytics are revolutionising both operational efficiency and customer experiences. Whether it’s using conversational AI to help passengers search for their next holiday, giving employees an AI assistant that provides actionable insights, or putting real-time information at the fingertips of pilots and crew, Ryanair is accelerating innovation across its business and for the millions of passengers that fly with the airline every week. We’re excited about what’s next.”
