RTÉ News Now brings a selection of it’s latest news stories from RTE.ie
The App itself is split into News, Sport , Business and Entertainment Tabs, each offering the latest news from each. There are the usual Android options available to share content.
The App also offers a feature to stream the latest news in a repeating video bulletin. While selecting this option though the App warns you that not all networks support this particular type of Android streaming Protocol. While there were issues in the past with Android streaming video content there is no reason now that an alternative, known working, protocol should be in use now. It is a minor detail, but one that RTÉ have failed to address since the launch of the App.
Other than that the App works flawlessly and is a useful alternative to using the mobile site.
