Meath Enterprise Week 2018 (#MEW2018) takes place across the County from 12-16 November. Now in its fifth year, #MEW2018 is a national events partner with Global Entrepreneurship Week 2018 (#GEW2018) which, through its Global Entrepreneurship Network, coordinates enterprise events in over 160 countries during that same week.
Over 15 speakers, all experts in their field, will take to the stage next Thursday 15 November in the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim for the #MEW2018 Business Conference & Expo for discussion and debate around the themes of Entrepreneurship and Regional Economic Development with a particular focus on innovation, collaboration and shared learning as a means of scaling your business.

This year also sees the official launch of the new and improved MEW Student Enterprise Challenge which takes place in the Kells Tech Hub on 8 November. Aspiring young entrepreneurs from St Patrick’s Classical School, Dunshaughlin Community College, Eureka Secondary School and more, will yet again pitch their business ideas to the judges to be in with the chance of winning prize monies across multiple categories with all winners to be announced at the main event in Trim on 15 November.
Also, as part of #MEW2018, the Kells Tech Hub will run an open day from 2-5pm on Monday 12 November where all attendees will be entered into a draw to win a FREE co-working desk and access to the fantastic facilities and services at Kells Tech for six months. “This is a great opportunity for a new or existing businesses to benefit from the amazing co-working and business training facilities at the new Kells Tech Hub which also boasts some of the fastest uncontended fibre broadband speeds in the region thanks to the generous support of Meath County Council” said Gary O’Meara
Meath Enterprise Week is proudly supported by Meath Enterprise, Meath County Council, Meath LEO, AIB, Prepaid Financial Services, Meath Chronicle, LMFM, the Boyne Valley Food Innovation District, Meath Chamber, and many more. It is expected that the #MEW2018 Business Conference and Expo, which will be streamed live over the internet, will be very well attended with over 70 exhibitors present on the day including the leading enterprise support agencies, business groups and local companies / entrepreneurs leading the way in the food, technology, fintech and other sectors. There will also be an Artisan Buffet Lunch that will showcase the very best of what the region has to offer in terms of food.
