JBL Live PRO 2, reviewed

With products like this one of the big questions for users is how will it sit in my ear, will it hold, will it be comfortable and will it stay there without falling out. These were certainly the questions that our testers wanted to know before they had even opened the box. Another question is, depending on the price, is it offering quality and the experience that you would expect based on the amount you are paying for it. Naturally sound quality and battery life are all important, or rather you would expect these to be somewhere between adequate and top notch.

First up, in reverse order, all of the testers were happy with the battery life and sound quality. Maybe we are at the point where things like this should be a given, of course they are not, but these check the boxes for not being an issue. Longevity is also important, but this aspect is always hard to definitively comment on as you only really know a year down the line. The ear plug section might degrade but the jury is simply out on that aspect.

They are silicon tips, and they seemed to work well, and the testers were happy with them. They do seem like they will also avoid the dread issue of ear bud drops, which is of course always the biggest fear with wireless earbuds. There are also three sizes of ear buds, which gives you a fighting chance of finding the size that works best for you. Who knows too, if you are young and your ears grow, then maybe it can grow with you, but we are just speculating now.

The ear buds are also water resistant too. Maybe all ear buds should be, as you never know, in Ireland at least, when, or where it might raid. Anyway these ones are, and it works well. We didn’t take them kayaking, but, on a calm day, you might get away with that too, or then again maybe not, but for jogging, walking etc, then they should work well.

The price means you should expect them to perform well, and, as far as our testers discovered they seem to be a nice piece of gear.
