Over the weekend the internet came alive with news of evasi0n releasing their untethered jailbreak for iOS 7 devices. The news hasn’t come without its controversies as an included Chinese App store, called TaiG, turned out to have a lot of pirated Apps available to download. In fairness to evasi0n, they have been quick to respond and are said to be working with Taig to remove the pirated material. You can read their response here which also gives some background into why TaiG is being included in the first place.
The jailbreak also seems to have been somewhat rushed out as it was expected that a competitor was just about to release a “paid for” jailbreak prompting evasi0n to release their free method ahead of time.
With all that said, if you are eager to get in on some of the jailbreaking action and are happy to accept the associated risks with an initial release and jailbreaking in general, you can head over to their site now on this link and follow the instructions.
