Indra’s Cristina Ruiz Ortega, Liberbank, NH Hoteles, Broadcaster, AXSchat and eCooltra are the winners at the 3rd edition of the DES2018 European Digital Mindset Awards

DES – Digital Enterprise Show 2018, the biggest international digital economy event, which brings business leaders from more than 50 countries to Madrid, celebrated the third edition of the European Digital Mindset Awards at a gala dinner at the Spanish capital’s Florida Retiro venue.

The European Digital Mindset Awards acknowledge the most innovative ideas that feature disruptive approaches to Customer Experience and ICT Management, or which present new digital business models. The awards also highlight the executives who have stood out over the past year in the way they have driven the integration of the digital economy into their companies’ business models.

Values that include innovation, leadership, disruption and strategy were all considered by the International Judging Panel made up of entrepreneur and TEDx Speaker Bo Ji, Thulium CEO & Brand Ambassador Tamara McCleary, Bay McLaughlin, Co-Founder of Brinc.io, Elise Quevedo of SMGE, Hubspot’s Scott Brinker and Joana Sánchez, President of Incipy and Inesdi.

5 categories for the most disruptive projects and professionals

The European Digital Mindset Awards acknowledge the world’s brightest professionals and companies in the following categories. Here are the winners from the third edition:

Cristina Ruiz, Executive Director of Indra and IT business Senior Vice President, has been named the Best Digital Leader Executive of 2018, for leading her company’s digital transformation and being responsible for creating Minsait by Indra.

NH Hoteles has been named the Best Digital Transformation Enterprise for its Digital Transformation Plan, which connected the systems of almost 350 of the Group’s hotels and supported the implementation of innovative steps that have transformed the business model towards the digital economy. The outcome has led to increased efficiency in terms of service, experience, turnover, reporting, cash flow and revenue management, among others.

The finalists in this category were: NEINVER, a leading company in Spain and Poland and the second-ranked in Europe for outlet management; and UNIR (International University of La Rioja) for its CertiBlock project, which applies Blockchain technology to the academic model.

Broadcast received the award for the Best Journalistic Work on Digital Transformation for its news experience in which the company used mobile technologies and 100% digital tools to connect with audiences 24 hours a day over a seven-day period. The finalists in this category were INNOVADORES journalist Alberto Iglesias Fraga for his article Los ‘Cuatro Fantásticos’ del MIT más digital, and Divisadero for its Barometer on the State of Digital Maturity in Spain.

Axschat won the award for Best digital campaign for its Advocating about inclusion by building a community campaign, which promoted social inclusion via social networks. The finalists in the category were NBC for its Digital Revolution campaign on behalf of Syfy.com and Asus, for its campaign entitled In search of your best you: Technology ready for new year’s challenges.

The award for the Best Digital Disruptor Start-up went to eCooltra for the sustainable mobility solution that has registered more than 250,000 users in three European countries in just two years. The two finalists in the category were Mapidea Location Intelligence, which has developed an app to provide companies with access to knowledge via positioning technologies, and SERIMAG.

The judging panel also presented a special award to Liberbank CDO Joaquín Sevilla for his work in evangelising and integrating digital channels into the bank’s work.
