Over the weekend HTC announced that it was starting to push the Android 4.4 KitKat update to Dev edition and unbranded devices. HTC had originally stated a January ’14 rollout date but have now started pushing out the update a mere 4 weeks after KitKat was officially unveiled.
While it’s fantastic to see such a quick rollout of an update, for many there will still be a long wait before networks approve the update and it starts landing on branded phones.

The update also includes Sense 5.5 which we saw initially on the One Max. We’ll keep you posted once we hear news of any of the networks starting to roll out this update.
