Geektime Next 2017, June 4th, David InterContinental Tel-Aviv

By @SimonCocking

How many years has it been going?

This is our 10th annual event.

What was the inspiration to start it?

We felt that early stage startups aren’t getting enough exposure (which was way back in 2007) in Israel.
What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version? For our 10th year, we’ve tripled the number of stages (from one to three) and the number of startups present (from 10 to 30) and the event will happen as a part of the 2nd annual Tech festival we are hosting, which includes over 30 events and will host over 25K attendees.

What opportunities are on offer for people / startups / investors and companies attending?

This is the biggest gathering of the year for the startup community in Israel and will host over 2000 entrepreneurs, investors, key executives and media. So alongside great content and promising early-stage startups, people can expect lots of networking opportunities with people they would otherwise won’t be able to meet/

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Comes with lots of business cards, own your 60-seconds pitch and know who you are targeting in advance.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

Tickets are available at http://techfest.geektime.co.il/next and they usually sell out 3-4 days before the event.

Anything else you’d like to add / we should have asked?

Here is some more background material about the festival and other events.
