After launching to considerable acclaim in 2015, RTÉ Mojocon is set to return in 2016 with an even bigger international event at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th April 2016. The major international mobile journalism conference has been specially created for journalists from print, radio, online and television, as well as PR and communications professionals as well as media and journalism students.
The second RTÉ Mojocon will showcase the wealth and breadth of pioneering work being done by media organisations, broadcasters, companies and individuals around the globe to truly explore and develop the potential of smart devices as high-quality content creation and consumption tools.

And, in a first for RTÉ Mojocon, Teradek, makers of professional live streaming solutions and wireless video devices, will be setting up their “Live Show” over the two days of the conference to bring exclusive interviews with speakers, guests and exhibitors to the online audience who cannot attend in person.
In keeping with the true spirit of RTÉ Mojocon as a mobile content creation event, Teradek’s production will harness their “Live:Air” multi-camera switching and live-streaming app for iOS to drive the live show. A selection of different cameras provided by Irish Teradek reseller camerakit.ie will use Teradek’s VidiU, Clip, and Cube encoders to bring several new camera angles into the mix wirelessly.

Speaking about the announcement Michael Gailing, Director of Marketing, Creative Solutions, Vitec Group (Teradek’s parent company) said: “This will be the first time that the Live:Air solution will be used to drive the Teradek Live Show, which traditionally appears only at big international trade shows like IBC Amsterdam and NAB Las Vegas. We are truly delighted to be bringing our Live Show to Dublin for the first time. RTÉ Mojocon is a unique industry event with a clear focus on mobile production solutions. This is a perfect fit for Teradek’s hardware and iOS production range. We are really looking forward to demonstrating the power of our Live:Air and meeting the leading practitioners of mobile journalism from around the world.”
Glen Mulcahy, Head of Innovation, Technology, RTÉ, and the founder and organizer of RTÉ Mojocon said: “This is a major coup for RTÉ Mojocon. I’ve been a guest on the Teradek Live Show at IBC in the past and I know the effort that goes into the production. For Teradek to come to Dublin and set up their Live Show during Mojocon is a testimony to how much the mobile production space has matured in the last twelve months. With brands like Sennheiser, Vodafone, HTC, Samsung, and Adobe all getting involved this year Mojocon is shaping up to be a serious technology conference on the international events calendar”.
