Clientrol interview, see them soon at the Web Summit

By @SimonCocking more at.

Who are you, what’s your back ground? Where you are from?

Clientrol was founded by Marc Nixon from Dublin, Ireland. Marc has worked as a freelance designer for over 15 years and found a gap in the market for a product that will manage support, projects and clients. He wanted to create an application that freelancers could use on a daily basis to manage their day. The Cliental team now includes Kayla Rowen and Michal Kuta.

Why are you planning to come to the Summit / what do you hope to get out of it?

We won a startup placement booth and will be exhibiting at it, we would hope to gain more awareness and interest for the product.

Is there anyone in particular you’d really like to meet at the summit?

The Web Summit is filled with influential speakers, it’s hard to just pick one!

What are you working on?

Clientrol is a Support, Project & Client Management application created for freelancers and professionals. It helps them organise their day and get paid for every minute they work.

What is awesome about it?

The 2 biggest challenges facing freelancers or small business are 1) Getting paid for small jobs and tasks and 2) Communications between client and freelancer. Cliental solves these 2 issues.

Where do you hope to be in 3 – 5 years time?

In Dublin with a lot of staff creating products around Clientrol.

How is it trying to develop and scale a project and product?

Tough, especially when its your own product you want to include so much passion.

Do you have any good workout rounds for power outages or other local tech restraints?

Always bring an offline version & extra batteries!

Which social media platforms do you use to promote your product / service, what sort of return do you get from it?

Clientrol uses Twitter in order to promote our services. Our follower count is growing everyday! Feel free to follow us! @clientrol

What should I have asked you?

Whats my favourite pizza topping! — It’s just simple pepperoni.

We look forward to seeing you at the Web Summit and make sure you stop by our booth (Nov. 6 – eCommerce area – Main Hall – ECM278) for a chat!
