Sky Go gets a major upgrade for Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers

Sky has launched a new version of the Sky Go app for Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers, making it easier to enjoy unmissable entertainment and live sport wherever they are.

The new version of the app brings Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers more ways to enjoy Sky across their TV, mobile and tablet. They can pick up where they left off on available shows, find saved favourites in My Library and stream in full HD. They can also set recordings while they’re out, ready to watch on their Sky Glass or Sky Stream at home. Live sport is quicker to find and follow, and new show pages make it even easier for customers to get to what they want to watch.

Sky Go is included at no extra cost with a Sky TV subscription.

Familiar by design, with more ways to watch

A new version of Sky Go takes inspiration from the look and feel of Sky OS, the operating system that powers the viewing experience on Sky Glass and Sky Stream, making it easy to move between the big screen and a mobile or tablet. Plus, a new simple navigation puts Home, the TV Guide, My Library, Sport, and Search within easy reach.

From the home screen, customers can easily explore the Best of Sky, Movies, TV shows, Sport and Kids, while a refreshed TV Guide simplifies steps to choose and tune into live TV channels

My Library brings together available shows, films and sport customers have saved in their Playlist at home on Sky Go, along with recently watched content and downloads, making it easy to find and watch their favourites.

New show and movie pages make it easier to decide what to watch, with programme information, cast and crew details, Rotten Tomatoes scoring, and recommendations, alongside options to save, record or download. A new parents’ guide on kids’ movies helps families quickly see what’s suitable for younger viewers too.

Customers can access all live and on-demand Sky content, including live Sky Sports, as well as selected partner content available with their subscription.

Never miss a thing

Continue Watching means that if a Sky Glass or Sky Stream customer has started the latest Sky Original Possession in their living room but needs to head out, they can easily pick up where they left off on a mobile or tablet, before switching back to the big screen later.

Customers can also set selected shows, films and sporting events to record while on the move. If they remember something they want to watch while they’re out, they can hit record on their phone or tablet and have it ready and waiting for them on Sky Glass or Sky Stream when they get back to their sofa.

More ways to follow live sport

With more than 1,500 football matches this season, every Formula 1 race weekend, every shot from the golf Majors and much more, Sky Sports gives customers an incredible line-up of live action. The new version of the Sky Go app makes it simpler for fans to find and follow the live sport they love away from the TV.

A dedicated Sport section brings together what’s live now, what’s coming up and anything they’ve saved to watch later. Fans can also follow their Premier League team and save them in My Library for easy access. Customers can access additional live events on Sky Sports+ through the app, giving them more choice.

Customers can also set live sport to record from their mobile or tablet, ready to watch on their Sky Glass or Sky Stream device at home.

• Full HD streaming: Watch in up to 1080p full HD video on compatible devices and connections. *
• Sport: Browse the dedicated Sport section, search by sport, follow Premier League teams and quickly see what is live and what is coming up next.
• Sky OS Inspired: Enjoy the simple, recognisable Sky OS experience on mobile and tablet, with familiar content rows, clear navigation and new film and show pages making it easier to browse and discover what to watch.

Sky Glass and Sky Stream customers can download Sky Go (Glass/Stream) from the App Store or Google Play.

Sky Q customers can continue using Sky Go (Q/+), giving them access to live and on demand TV, films and sport across devices, as well as remote recording. Those with Sky Q Multiscreen can also download recordings directly from their Sky Q box to watch when they’re not at home.
