How are you different?

We are a values driven company and believe that is a main differentiator between us and other technical companies. We invest in our people and their careers through many training and advancement opportunities, and above all company culture is number one!

Our impact on the industry has been felt through many popular platform features we’ve created becoming key characteristics of hosting, including site staging, integration with developer workflow tools, and advanced caching strategies.

Why will the company / product do well?

It’s simple, our focus on our people and innovative technology! Currently serving over 50,000 customers, and growing, WP Engine is experiencing explosive growth.

Where are you based?

WP Engine is headquartered in Austin, Texas and has offices in Limerick, Ireland; London, England; San Antonio, Texas; and San Francisco, California.

When was the company launched?

Start-up veteran Jason Cohen created WP Engine in 2010 out of necessity– he could not find a solution to host his blog and realized others in the WordPress community had a similar problem. As a result, WP Engine was born.

We are focused on customer-centric innovation to help customers solve all their business challenges – ecommerce, website and content performance intelligence, bullet-proof security, enterprise class availability and a more robust and scalable cloud infrastructure.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

We are currently working with ReelFX and one of their, cool, state of the art 3D cameras that was just recently developed to figure out what types of newer, immersive experiences we can help brands build on websites.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

Continuing from the above as technologies like Google Glass, Oculus Rift and other augmented/virtual reality technologies evolve we can’t wait to help brands and visitors experience and feel websites in an entirely new way. As a company that builds on open source we have an inherent advantage to be able to integrate with almost any of these newer gadgets or technologies.
