Morpheus Data is an award-winning cloud management platform. Morpheus gives developers, IT managers, and DevOps professionals full control over both VM and container-based systems across any cloud or infrastructure. In a single platform, Morpheus provides complete application lifecycle management, including one-click provisioning, backup, recovery, logging, monitoring, reporting, and access control.

How are you different?

First and foremost, Morpheus is the only infrastructure-agnostic cloud management platform on the market so it works with nearly any system. It offers today’s tech leaders capabilities they never thought possible: instant one-click application provisioning, fast and simple database management, easy workload migration, automatic monitoring, logging and backups, dynamic admin management, and much more.

Additionally, Morpheus has a unique perspective and history since it was born out of necessity—not to exploit a market opportunity. Morpheus started inside of Bertram Capital (a Silicon Valley P/E firm with +$1 billion in committed capital) to solve technology problems facing its portfolio companies. Bertram Capital built a world-class team called Bertram Labs and they built an in-house cloud management solution called Morpheus. While Morpheus found applicability across the portfolio, demand increased until it grew to become what it is today, a stand-alone company serving a quickly growing client base.

Why will the company / product do well?

Morpheus sought to create a simple and powerful cloud application management solution and has been laser focused from day one—and it hasn’t gone without notice. Morpheus is already gaining serious traction within IT and DevOps teams at some of the biggest organizations throughout the US and Europe. In 2016 Morpheus saw 100 percent growth of customers and partners, signed four Forbes Global 2000 enterprises, and expanded to three global regions including EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.

Morpheus didn’t actively start selling until 2015, although it became a standalone company in 2014.

A product is only as good as the team driving it. Chairman, Jeff Drazan, spent more than 20 years leading Sierra Ventures, a successful VC firm in Silicon Valley, before starting Bertram Capital. What are your long term plans for your product / company?

Morpheus is changing the way IT and DevOps leaders run their organizations, and it’s saving them massive amounts of time and money. Some in the space have pegged Morpheus as the Next VMware but they want to be much bigger than that.
