Business Showcase : LCCX

By @SimonCocking

Describe the company – the elevator pitch …

LCCX aims to become the most trusted crypto currency exchange in the world.

Our goal is to set a new industry standard for safety of clients funds with 60-75% always being stored in cold storage vaults and then online funds being fully insured.

Based in London we will also be fully regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and have on our team our Chief Legal Officer that spent 5 years with the FCA.

As well as safety and security we also plan to create a streamlined customer experience with over two hundred tokens to trade and be paired with both popular crypto’s and fiats like USD and GBP.

We will also be addressing the issue of customer support with a 24/7 multi-lingual customer support team available on live chat to provide excellent customer service.

How are you different?

From trading myself and talking to other traders a lot of people are worried that their funds aren’t secure on current exchanges. Most aren’t regulated and they don’t have any insurance for loss of clients funds due to a hack.

Traders have also stressed their frustration with the lack of customer support offered currently in the market which we will address with our 24/7 live chat team and open social media channels so clients can always reach out to us.

Why will you do well?

I feel we can offer a solution that plugs all the current gaps in the market by just addressing the fundamentals of safety and user experience.

New exchanges have launched in the last 6 months since we noticed the problems traders have and most of the problems still haven’t been addressed. We believe that with LCCX, a superior solution will be available and as more people start investing in crypto currencies they will search out a trusted exchange.

Where are you based?

London, UK

When was the company launched?

The project started last summer as I was trading crypto’s and started to notice regular issues with security, user experience and customer support.

After a few months we started putting together a plan and a team to bring the project to life.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

I think our biggest win to date is putting together a great team of people who all believe in the solution and are dedicated to bring it to market.

Who are you trying to attract to your product?

Mainly UK and western European residents who are looking for a trusted platform to trade cryptos.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

I think building a great team is key and for founders to look at their own weaknesses and fill those gaps.

I would also stress the ability to create a lean company that keeps costs low in the early days.

These two pieces of advice have enabled me to create multiple companies with no outside finance and then scale to millions of dollars in revenues.

Tell us about your team?

We have a well rounded team with both finance and tech backgrounds.

We have an ex FCA lawyer. A cyber security expert that has experience with banks and FCA compliance.

We have a product lead that has already built a well known crypto exchange.

Our head of marketing, business development manager and our community manager all have experience in the crypto currency industry at various levels including having articles published on popular media outlets and being involved in successful ICOs.

What are your plans for the future?

Our goal is to complete our ICO by the end of April and we aim to launch the LCCX exchange in August 2018.

From there we plan to offer a range of services for blockchain companies and companies looking to launch their own tokens or currencies.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

I wouldn’t say I have a lot of gadgets but my favourite item is my iPhone X

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

There’s not so much any gadgets or hardware but I’m always looking for apps or web based services to improve the experience of working with a team and bringing a project to life in a streamlined process.

Anything else you’d like to add/we should have asked?

Our ICO starts on March 12th and the white paper is already available to read from our website LCCX.io

People can also pick up free tokens with our Bounty campaign. Details of the bounty campaign can be found here:
