NAKIVO has been ensuring the protection and 24/7 availability of critical business data for our customers with virtualized, cloud-based, as well as hybrid environments for over 5 years now. What’s more, you can create a reliable and high-performance VM backup appliance by installing NAKIVO Backup & Replication on a NAS device (the product is currently installable on QNAP, Western Digital, Synology, as well as ASUSTOR NAS storage devices).

How are you different?

NAKIVO Backup & Replication works quickly and automatically right out of the box. The recent beta survey that we conducted showed that over 97% of NAKIVO customers believe that the product is extremely easy to use. Boasting an intuitive UI, our solution requires minimal supervision and can recover your virtual machines within minutes allowing you to meet much shorter RTO.

Where are you based?

NAKIVO’s headquarters are located in Sparks, Nevada, USA. We also have multiple offices located throughout the world.

When was the company launched?

The company was founded in 2012 providing a VMware backup and replication solution. We have come a long way since then, growing into an international company with over 2,400 partners worldwide.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

One of our most recent success stories is Cloud Direct, a cloud service provider located in the United Kingdom. They wanted to protect the entire infrastructure of their customers including email, files, databases, and authentication services. Having implemented NAKIVO Backup & Replication, they are now able to provide their customers with a comprehensive VM disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) solution. Moreover, they managed to reduce their administration overhead and backup job times by 90%.

Another great example would be the Center for Scientific Computation and Mathematical Modelling (CSCAMM) at the University of Maryland. VM backup is crucial for their successful daily operations as faculty, staff, and students require 24/7 access to research materials through their website. By choosing NAKIVO Backup & Replication, they have reduced the time required for completing the entire backup process to under 1 hour. The product’s instant file recovery feature has also saved them from potentially disastrous situations on multiple occasions.

NAKIVO is also proud to have China Airlines, one of the leading airline carriers in Asia, as our customer. They have 60 VMware ESXi hosts and over 900 VMs. As such, keeping their data safe is paramount to ensuring the continuity of their business-critical operations. After choosing our solution, they have significantly increased their VM backup and recovery speeds, cutting their VMware backup budget by about 30%. With our global data deduplication feature, they also managed to use 60% less storage space.

Both small businesses and large enterprises, our goal is introducing our product to anyone seeking the top efficiency of the data protection processes. Many of our current customers switched from our competitors’ solutions to NAKIVO Backup & Replication after downloading and testing our free trial.
