How are you different?

Never before has there been a way to engage and retain or rehire top skilled contract talent directly by organizations of all sizes. Usually, these relationships are managed by multiple third parties that involve huge costs and a divide on the engagement piece.

The cloud-based setup is also very convenient as it gives businesses instant access to their contractor information and we integrate with all current internal and external cloud based systems organisations may be using, so the workflow becomes nothing but simpler giving you access to all the insights, data and transparency as employers and hiring teams, that you most certainly do not have at present.

Why will the company/product do well?

Our vision is to enhance organizations and contractors journey via machine learning and predictive analytics so not only are we introducing smart automation to bring efficiencies but also support growth in this ever-speeding future of work culture. Artificial intelligence is especially utilized as a means of reviewing many characteristics of contractors based on points like how many hours they have worked, what types of jobs they participate in and so forth so we can study their DNA for far better matches and more.

The general key for InteriMarket’s platform today is to help hiring organizations figure out key ingredients of what makes their best individual contractors, which is part of our secret sauce. A platform that gives businesses a clear idea of what to expect when hiring people and choosing the right ones for upcoming projects. Most importantly, giving employers full transparency and access to their current open and closed cloud based talent pools plus instant access to new talent in minutes or hours, not weeks.

Where are you based?

We are headquartered in London at present, with our MVP SaaS Platform released in the UK & plans to hit the US early next year with potential customer conversations underway.

When was the company launched?

We launched our beta at Dublin Uprise Festival in September 2016 with a view to assessing PMF & organic traction over 6 – 8 months. We have now soft-launched our MVP & we are engaging some early customers in the UK, within a couple sectors where we are immediately needed.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

With our vision in progress and milestones achieved so far, we have already gained some great organic traction including seed funding from Symvan Capital in the UK & completing foundry programme with in San Francisco.

Gaining momentum in our product and technical efforts has been our biggest win including our first customer onboarding this month. Add that to the faith of our investors and technical progress, we feel that launching our MVP after a rigorous PMF study  to build for the need in the project based future of work, is our biggest win.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

We are targeting small and large size professional services organizations that currently feel the heat of not having the right talent in place quickly as it results in empty seats and lost revenues for them. In terms of talent we are looking for highly skilled project and programme leads who are independent contractors both in UK & US. And similar Interim professionals within professional services.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?

Start. Starting is the best thing and taking constant feedback is key to successful implementation.

What are your long term plans for your product/company?

Our Vision is to become the Platform for Skilled Project Based Future of Work. Our values are driven by Quality, Simplicity, Innovation and Trust. Being in-house expert & project based contractor myself with years of experience within the industry, and working with changing demographics of talent across the board, I am determined to be the change catalyst in this sector and challenge the role of staffing agencies longer term.

It is the same with early years of LinkedIn – no one predicted or believed if told, that majority of permanent recruitment could be done outside of staffing agencies a decade ago & that is exactly the change I am driving within full time skilled interims and contractors sector.

Slack is increasingly becoming one of the most fav gadget.

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

Better video and online meetings for face to face calls.

Bhumika Zhaveri’s expertise is in business strategy, change, human resources and talent management. Her experience is built over years in varied sectors where she has worked within Recruitment, Resourcing, and HR. She has worked on versatile projects including systems change and implementation projects which make her the best founder that understands software, technology and recruitment sector. She is a firm believer of success through people, change and culture!

Being an Indian Immigrant within Tech Sector, she is often faced with challenges of being an outsider especially as a woman in tech. She is extremely passionate and experienced in the field and possess incredible grit, experience, and flexibility. She is not new to the business world either, after being a temp for a few years through various agencies she formed her own consultancy where she took more control of the type of projects, companies, and people she worked with. That is exactly the kind of power she wants all skilled project based contractors to have where right opportunities come looking for them, directly.

Having seen several challenges first hand which are not being addressed appropriately. In a statement, she told us that: “Many marketplaces and ‘online’ platforms have emerged within the freelance space, none truly addressing the real challenges faced by highly skilled contractors and organizations directly.
