Describe the company – the elevator pitch …
Blueface provides phone systems based in the cloud to businesses of all sizes, from startups and micro businesses right through to large enterprise. Over 20,000 organisations worldwide are using Blueface to communicate.
How are you different?
Blueface differs from legacy telecoms providers as our service operates using VoIP technology, through your broadband connection. This enables us to offer a wider range of features as part of your communications service and allows your phone system to be more responsive to changing business needs.
The investment we have made in our own infrastructure differentiates Blueface from other VoIP providers. Many other providers build their service on a 3rd party’s technology. At Blueface, we are a proprietary end-to-end provider. We’ve invested heavily in R&D to develop a service which we fully control – allowing us to provide greater reliability.
Why will the company/product do well?
Across Europe, the traditional telecom infrastructure, PSTN and ISDN, are being shut down. VoIP or IP telephony has been recognised as the new standard in communications. At this transformational time for the communications industry, Blueface’s ability to provide reliable, flexible and feature-rich telephony services to any organisation nationally or internationally is an exciting prospect.
Where are you based?
Blueface is headquartered in Dublin’s IFSC, one of Europe’s major financial centers. The full Blueface Team is distributed across offices in London, Rome, and recently opened spaces in New York and Madrid as we continue our international expansion.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?
Blueface allow small and large businesses access to enterprise grade communications, cost effectively from end users to business owners to IT managers and operations leads. This allows businesses to easily scale and add users anywhere in the world in a more cost efficient manner.

What tips would you give to others looking to build their business?
Firstly, build a great culture around the right team. Like any business, we owe our growth (we’re hiring – www.blueface.com/careers/) to the team we have. Enabling and supporting highly skilled people to do what they do best is what continues to build our business.
After that, you need to get your critical operational processes right. In today’s business climate that can mean automation. Critical operational tools, such as your phone system or CRM need to be reliable. They also need to talk to each other. For example, your phone system can create a new entry in your CRM automatically whenever a new prospect calls your sales line. Team members can then focus on work which adds value, rather than manual administration.
Tell us about your team?
The growing team at Blueface is led by an experienced management team. The 8 strong management team includes Blueface Group CEO Alan Foy, an experienced, forward thinking, and people focused executive and Feargal Brady, our co-founder. Group CTO Nameer Kazzaz is recognised as one of the leading IP telephony experts in Europe. Our people come from a wide range of nationalities and cultures, which makes working in Blueface quite unique.
What are your long-term plans for your product/company?
Blueface’s vision is to provide better business communications to organisations globally. The Blueface platform is a transformational service in the telephony industry at a transformational time. Across the western world, old analogue phone systems (PSTN) are being shut down at a national level as VoIP is adopted as the communications standard.
As the Blueface platform is rapidly deployable as a cloud based solution across borders, there is a roadmap to achieving our vision.
