Brexit, COVID, Tax Reform and Reframing the Irish Economy to the new abnormal on agenda for upcoming Shannon Chamber Webinar

Shannon Chamber has joined forces with Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Clare to put a myriad of issues impacting the economy under the microscope.

In what promises to be an enlightening webinar, which takes place on Tuesday, 6 October from 10 – 11 am, award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster Ian Kehoe will, in his usual incisive manner, share his views on what lies ahead for Ireland as we deal with COVID, Brexit and anticipate the contents on Budget 2021.

“Work and lifestyle have dramatically changed since the onset of COVID-19 but what other changes will the months and years ahead require us to make at a personal and business level? That is what we would all love to know and that’s why we have called on Ian Kehoe to enlighten us,” said Shannon Chamber chief executive Helen Downes.

“ Members listened attentively to his vast knowledge and grasp of business and economics when he last spoke at a Chamber event and have watched his progress since swapping editorship of the Sunday Business Post to set up the Currency with fellow journalist, Tom Lyons, in 2019.

“Now focusing on business, finance, economics and public policy and producing in-depth business, public policy and economic news and analysis on a daily basis, I’ve no doubt that Ian Kehoe will share some thought-provoking content with webinar attendees.

He has the capacity to provide insightful, dynamic, and brave stories, commentary and investigations and as this webinar is being held a week before Budget 2021 is delivered, the webinar might give us some insights into what the budget should contain to take the economy through the unprecedented times we now find ourselves in.

“We look forward to seeing our members at the webinar and to receiving their reviews afterwards,” added Ms Downes.

Advance booking for this webinar is essential. Bookings can be made via www.shannonchamber.ie/events/brexit-covid-tax-reform-reframing-the-irish-economy-to-the-new-abnormal/
