Young tech creators get ready for Coolest Projects International

What would 1000 young coders from around the world invent if given the chance?

• Nearly 1,000 young coders travelling from 22 countries will showcase their tech inventions
• Tickets are free to the general public to come and celebrate the next generation of technology innovators

Nearly 1000 young tech creators from around the globe will present their inventions at Coolest Projects International 2019, the world’s leading technology exhibition for young people.

The event takes place in the RDS Main Hall, Dublin, this May Bank Holiday Sunday and is organised by the team behind CoderDojo, the Cork-born, global, volunteer-led movement of extra-curricular coding clubs for young people.

“Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend,” says Rosa Langhammer, General Manager of CoderDojo and Coolest Projects. “It is free to the general public as we want to inspire as many people as possible to create with technology. The aim is to celebrate the creativity of young people, and to show them the power of technology to change the world.“

Coolest Projects is a global keystone event for coders under the age of 18, inviting everyone who loves to make things with technology to showcase their projects in an international forum, and to maybe win a prize in categories such as Hardware, Mobile Apps, and 3D Animation.

Participants will travel from 22 countries including Japan, India, Argentina, Australia, France, Poland, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

The young coders’ inventions range from projects that raise awareness about climate change, to assistive technologies for people with disabilities, to sci-fi video games and GPS-enabled mountaineering websites.

Coolest Projects is appropriate for all ages, with a a number of interactive activities for members of the public to enjoy, such as Escape Rooms and the History of Video Games.
