The guys in Next Generation Recruitment have been working on a project entitled ‘Why the World Needs More Women in Tech’ which aims to highlight the gender imbalance in the Tech sector and explores some of the reasons why this is the case and what can be done in the future to rebalance.

Some of the research found that:

“Businesses with a woman on the executive team are more likely to have higher valuations at both the first and last funding stage”

“Gender diverse R & D teams lead to greater creativity and better decisions.”

“Women are under-represented in the tech sector. Not only that, but they’re underpaid, often passed for promotions and faced with every day sexism.”

It’s no wonder women are more likely to leave the industry within a year compared to their male counterparts.
