Wayra has announced that it has selected another 9 start-up companies for business acceleration and investment in September. The start-ups were chosen from a shortlist of 15 projects by an independent judging panel following a day of competitive pitches and mentoring.
Wayra, based in Dublin’s Docklands and part of a global accelerator programme, provides early stage investment to start-ups as well as a dedicated state-of-the-art workspace, access to market leading experts and the channels-to-market necessary to accelerate commercialisation including favourable terms with leading technology suppliers. Since its launch 2 years ago, Wayra has accelerated 21 companies that, to date, have raised over €7.5m million in funding for their businesses.
Each of the 9 start-ups entering Wayra in September will receive financing of up to €40,000 and, in addition to a dedicated workspace, will benefit from a nine month, intensive commercial acceleration programme with access to expert mentors and favourable commercial terms with leading technology suppliers including Amazon, Google, Paypal and Microsoft.

For the selected start-ups announced today, Wayra presents a huge opportunity to drive their business forward, leveraging the global network of Wayra accelerators, resources and customer access”.

| Legalshine | Legalshine helps large organisations control their legal costs. It reads legal bills, turns them into data, and uses the data to eliminate waste | Restored Hearing | Scientific solutions to problems with hearing. Alleviating tinnitus & creating responsive hearing protection |
| xpreso | Xpreso solves the last mile issue with dynamic tracking, accurate arrival times, diversions and communication between customers and couriers |
