Viatel expands their network footprint in Northern Ireland with €250K investment

Following on from the recent launch of their enterprise Storage as a Service platform, the company has now extended their superfast 1Gbps (1,000Mbps) network to businesses in Northern Ireland, as part of the company’s ongoing strategic investment in network growth across the island of Ireland.

Viatel’s new licensed microwave radio network is based will service all of the key city business parks and the surrounding areas including Lisburn, Lurgan, Dunmurry, Newtownards, Holywood, Newtownabbey. The new microwave service will connect to Viatel’s core fibre network to deliver secure, high-speed, scalable bandwidth from 10Mbps to 1,000Mbps.
