Turn your Interview into a Conversation and get the Job

Job Interview Tips & Techniques

Recently I was asked by a former client and now a friend to help her prepare for a very important job interview. My friend told me that this position was her dream job.

The first interview required her to deliver a ten-minute presentation plus a fifteen-minute ‘Question and Answer’ session on a topic that was very relevant to the job specification.

Together we created a presentation that allowed her to tell conversational  stories of how her previous careers could be hugely beneficial in this new position.

This allowed her to put some flesh on the bones of what could otherwise  have been a bland CV that just provided dates, qualifications and experience with little personality.

Stories add colour, helping you to be remembered when the interview panel get together to review the applicants.

Standing out from the crowd is critical should candidates wish to be successful.

Did she get the job?  YES!

Please watch the video below which explains my philosophy on how people should present –
