Ticketmaster Hackathon in Dublin on May 6th

By @SimonCocking

When is it on?

Saturday 6th May 9:30am-6pm

How many years has it been going?

This is our ninth Hackathon globally

What was the inspiration to start it?

Our last two Hackathons (London and Berlin) have all been about our open API platform with the theme of ‘event discovery’ – we want you to come down to use our APIs and mash them up with other APIs to create meaningful and awesome experiences for fans.

What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2017 version?

A big day of coding, swag, prizes, meeting the Ticketmaster tech team and more – it’s a laid-back day with fun as much of a priority as coding and APIs! We’ll provide the sustenance to keep you going, all you need to do is bring your jolly self along and have a great time.

What opportunities are on offer for people / startups / investors and companies attending?

Meet the Ticketmaster team, and fellow minded members of the developer community. Get inspired! And we’re always on the hunt for new talent to come and join the team too.

What tips would you give to people attending to get the most out of it?

Bring your creativity along!

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

Book your FREE ticket here

It’s no secret that Ticketmaster is serious about opening up the Ticketmaster platform to external developers to create the best ticketing experience for fans – and what better way than a Hackathon in Dublin to do exactly that. This Hackathon will focus on Ticketmaster’s open API strategy, with the theme of ‘event discovery’. Here developers will use Ticketmaster’s APIs, mash them up with other APIs and ultimately create meaningful experiences for fans worldwide. We’re inviting the developer community in/around Dublin to come and join us for a laid-back day of coding with fun as much of a priority as coding and APIs! We’ll provide the sustenance to keep you going, all you need to do is bring your jolly self along and have a great time. Don’t forget, there’ll be prizes on offer, and swag for all! Sign up here
