Describe your company, the elevator pitch!

WP Applied is an online system that shows small business owners how to grow traffic and sales online by teaching them proven digital marketing skills on a practice website. We teach people how to build a website, drive traffic to it and convert that traffic into leads and sales.

The unique thing about our system is that people learn how to perform and implement practical skills by working through interactive exercises on a real website. By working through short, interactive lessons, users gain hands-on experience with the full range of tools and strategies used by top digital marketers.

How are you different?

The unique thing about our system is that we’re teaching people how to implement digital marketing skills on a live website, step by step. Our interactive system for teaching these skills provides much better results than the lecture-based approach – and works out a lot cheaper and a lot quicker for our members.

All the latest digital strategies are covered and the key benefit is that people can immediately begin to put these skills to work for their business. We offer continued support as your business and strategies evolve over time.

For just €300 anyone can learn how to grow their business online in less than 15 hours.

What type of people are you aiming for with your product?

This service is aimed at small businesses who want in-house control of their own website and digital marketing efforts.

Our customers are mostly small business owners, marketers and bloggers who want to save money on website costs and see a better return on their online investment.

Tell us about your team?

I spent ten years as a web developer and also did a lot of freelance web design. As a freelancer I realized that your average small business owner isn’t getting real value from their website – and many get a very poor return on their investment.

Many owners have no idea how to use their website properly and make it work for their business. That’s when I realized the answer was in education.

The last 5 years as head of web and multimedia studies at Ballsbridge College in Dublin I teach students of all backgrounds how to make websites. In the evenings I’ve worked with local business people to help them grow their businesses online.

As a teacher I’ve learned that anyone can learn about websites and e-commerce – and over these last 5 years I’ve developed a system for teaching these skills in a way that anyone can understand quickly.
