The massive potential for shipping and logistics to adopt blockchain solutions, Bogdan Maslesa, Quasa advisor

By @SimonCocking interesting interview with  Bogdan Maslesa Blockchain Analyst Educational Specialist and advisor to Quasa the first Open Blockchain Platform for cargo transportation.

What is your background briefly?

Young, charismatic and energetic individual, with an ethnic background from Ex-Yugoslavia. Growing up in Limassol, Moscow and later London, where I completed my BSc in Business Management and a MSc in Luxury Brand Marketing. My wide range of skills includes business development, marketing, analytical mindset, thinking outside the box and educating all demographic groups on how to join the blockchain revolution. A positive individual with an eager mind-set to make the world a better place.

Does it seem like a logical background to what you do now?

I would say so, having been fortunate to be travelling the world and learning about different cultures, has opened my mind to endless possibilities of creating a better and happier future.

1 min pitch for what you are doing now?

I founded UniversalCrypto.org, which is an educational blockchain consultancy company based in Limassol, Cyprus. Offering bespoke consultancy to individuals, corporations and governmental bodies, via physical and virtual consultations. Soon after launching UC, I also set up and run the Bitcoin Club Limassol which is a Facebook community group with the mission to spread awareness, knowledge and adoption of Blockchain technology. BCL brings together the blockchain community of Cyprus on a monthly basis, where we invite CEO’s of Blockchain companies to share there story and offer a great regular networking opportunities. Last December Bogdan has also joined Edgecoin.io core team, as the Director Business Development & Country Head Cyprus. Facilitating on getting Cyprus Schools, Universities and other Academic Institutions in implementing Blockchain into there institutions. Participated in numerous Blockchain conferences as a moderator and speak, with more conference lined up in the near future.

Why did you get involved with this ICO?

It all started with Mr. Vasipenok reached out to me, and thats how I discovered quasa.io. Having read the white paper I envisioned and saw the big potential of shipping & logistics adopting Blockchain solutions. Personally, I had numerous bad experiences with international shipping, with losing my parcels, slow-service and it being extremely expensive. My past experiences and creative thinking have further encouraged me to join quasa.io and improve the efficiency of international shipping.

Why do you think it is such a powerful idea?

As we have more and more individuals in the world, we are shipping more things, and with the increase of mass migration and the ever expanding e-commerce market in the past decade, there is a growing demand of international shipping.

The international shipping practices are not reliable, which results in many individuals avoiding receiving and/or sending goods. Thus with quasa.io introducing smart contracts to this industry, consumers will regain trust and reassurance in international shipping, as the process will be made transparent, much faster and not as cost intensive.

How can people find out more about the ICO and your work?

Individuals can visit the quasa.io website, to get more familiar with the technology, and I would highly recommend for everyone to read the white paper, which very nicely outlines how the technology works.
