With just over 30 days to go until Brexit, it is important for companies in Gaeltacht focused areas to attend an online seminar that will discuss the matter in detail.
The second seminar in the ‘Doing Business in a Time of Crisis’ series will take place on Wednesday and is being organised by Údarás na Gaeltachta to support businesses addressing the challenges posed by Brexit and COVID-19. The event will take place at 10 am with the theme ‘Regenerate your business’.
The guest speakers will share their expertise about how businesses can find new markets through innovation and diversification.
The Gaeltacht and Brexit: Financial matters for the post-COVID-19 world.
Jim Cahill will discuss financial matters. For the past 30 years, Jim has worked with both multinationals and local businesses providing a range of services including management accountancy, financial control, performance improvement, and business development consultancy.
‘Move from Bossing to Coaching your team and watch your business grow’ is what Claire Scanlon from Canny Futures will be exploring.
Canny Futures is a consultancy business run by Claire and is located in gteic@Na Forbacha. Claire has over 20 years of experience in Corporate Finance.
She has worked in Business Development, Sales, and Relationship Management at the corporate level, working for some of the biggest names in finance, AIG, Citibank, and AIB.
James Burke from Bláth na Mara which is located on Inis Mór will discuss Business regeneration: getting your business market-ready.
James studied Retailed Management in DIT and joined Superquinn in 1984. He spent over 20 years in Superquinn, the last 10 of which were at Board Room Level. His Superquinn executive roles included Business Development Manager, Group Purchasing Manager, and Trading Manager.
