The 3D Leader: Take your leadership to the next dimension, reviewed

Review of  The 3D Leader: Take your leadership to the next dimension by Terence Mauri. Available from Amazon here.

The 3D Leader will provide you with a practical set of actions  to lead faster, smarter and  better in a VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) world, whatever the size or type of organisation. Use the Bold, Brave and Beyond mindsets in three easy and practical steps to help you lead faster, smarter and better by a factor of 10, not 10 per cent.

Much of what leaders know is no longer enough, and most organisations are still trapped in outdated 20th century mindsets that focus too heavily on efficiency and protecting the past, rather than inventing the future. Drawing on extensive research, this book reveals the  three winning mindsets repeated by respected leaders again and again, which will take your leadership skills to the next level.

The 3D Leader: Take your leadership to the next dimension, reviewed

This is a smörgåsbord of various examples and insights. It comes in at under 150 pages, but manages to offer a range of good strategies to make yourself a better leader. We are almost certainly at an important moment in time for our working lives, business in general and the planet. Mauri’s book aims to recognise this and serve up straight forward actions that you can take to a better, more holistic, all around smarter leader.

Case studies always help and Mauri has lined up a good range of them from various businesses and sectors around the world. The content is accessibly presented and if more current leaders and CEOs could read this then it would only help to ensure better workplaces and happier employees. Especially as the corona pandemic has forced all of us to reasses how, where and why we work. It is a useful and enjoyable read, easily consumed on one European flight, back in the days when we used to fly to other places to do work!
