Techstars 3 Day Start-up Event to Be Held for Aspiring Entrepreneurs and Change-Makers

Techstars is organizing a social innovation start-up weekend from 1st – 3rd September 2023 online. It provides a platform where social innovators can network, learn from mentors, and receive valuable feedback from industry experts. This ecosystem of support helps participants refine their ideas, validate their assumptions, and gain the necessary skills and confidence to turn their visions into reality.

It begins on Friday night (4:30-6:30), at the LinkedIn office, in Dublin, starting with networking with fellow participants, followed by pitching of various ideas that the participants have to offer and then finally forming the teams!

Moving on to Saturday (8 am – 5 pm), which will be online, the teams begin their brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, along with mentors giving informative workshops to refine their ideas better. On Sunday, which will be online, the event ends with (8 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) demos and presentations.

The winner of the previous start-up weekend has successfully started her own start-up, called Rooty, which was merely an idea when she pitched it on Friday evening on the first day of the start-up weekend! Not only did Lorena Garcia and her team win, but they also received access to a lot of resources, office space, etc to kick off their start-up.

“The Techstars Startup Weekend in Dublin was an empowering experience for women entrepreneurs. It helped provide external validation for our startup, Rooty and gave us the confidence to kickstart our business. We learned a lot from experienced mentors and experts, making it a highly recommended event for anyone unsure where to start in the startup world. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to learn, connect with and find support from others in the entrepreneurial community that are also on similar journeys as you.” -Lorena Garcia, winner of the last Techstars Startup Weekend Women Dublin.

This event is going to have various speakers, one of them being DC Cahalane, who is the Chief Marketing Officer of Dogpatch Labs and has been in the start-up industry for 15+ years. He definitely will be a great inspiration to all the attendees.

Techstars organises events like start-up weekends, founder’s events, investor seminars, etc. all around the world. It provides a platform for like-minded people to come together and create something innovative! The upcoming event is going to be a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in having their own company/business, and no previous experience is required, as we all start somewhere! The tickets for the event are available on Eventbrite, the location of the event will be disclosed soon. More information can be found on techstars social media channels, just type Techstars Startup Weekend Social Innovation Dublin, on Linkedin, Instagram as well as Twitter.
