The Irish Fintech community is coming out in force to support the inaugural TechConnect-Live conference and exhibition which is being held at the RDS on May 25. Colm Lyon, founder of Fire Payments and Louise Phelan from Paypal will deliver presentations to an audience of start-ups and established payment technology organisations. The organisers are also delighted to welcome the Financial Payments Association of Ireland (FPAI) on board as one of the key supporting associations.
Other speakers presenting in the Fintech strand include:
Emmet Savage – Rubicoin
Ollie Walshe – Pip Payments
Ronan McDonnell – Alpha Payments
Ben Geoghan – Currency Fair
Amy Neale – Mastercard
Pete Townsend – BNP Paribas
Fintech is where the smart money is. It’s a broad sector, comprising everything from back-end technology that helps banks and financial institutions manage their operations, to payments software and consumer-focused cloud banking. And it’s growing at a rapid rate, driving ‘technology disruption’ in financial services in the same way that digital media has disrupted newspapers.
Over 3,000 delegates have registered to attend the inaugural TechConnect-Live Conference & Exhibition at the RDS on May 25th. Over 200 speakers will address an audience of investors, start- ups, seasoned entrepreneurs and an array of top industry executives from leading global and Irish companies. 13 separate seminars will cover topics such as Fintech, Medtech, Energytech, Gametech, and the Internet of Things.
TechConnect Live will offer employers a unique opportunity to meet graduates, career professionals and supporting industry/academic associations. This year’s event will have over 1,500 live jobs on offer from the employers in the RDS on the day, both in Ireland and overseas, as well as internships, graduate training programmes and the chance to explore your further study options.
