Describe the company – the elevator pitch

PowerVision has been a leader robotics and big data since 2010, the announcement of the revolutionary PowerEgg camera drone in February 2016 was the company’s first move into the consumer market.


How are you different?

The PowerEgg brings a sleek, stunning egg shaped design in a drone that’s packed with cutting edge technology including a 4K, 360 degree panoramic camera.
Why will the product do well?

Drones are set to become a massive market and we’re offering something truly different and better. The PowerEgg looks great, is extremely portable and very easy to unpack and fly. Plus you can film in 4K 360 degree panoramic, view live video when the drone is up to 3000m away and PowerEgg has a super intuitive flying experience.

Where are you based?

Headquartered in Beijing, we also have offices around the world including Helsinki and San Francisco.

When was the company launched?

Originally founded in 2010 in Beijing, we launched in Europe a little under 6 months ago.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

The reception to the PowerEgg has been fantastic, yet we’re still to launch it…

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

PowerEgg is extremely easy for people to pop it into a backpack for a hike or ride and is ready to lift off in seconds, when the moment begs to be caught on camera. It’s a great way of capturing special moments with family or friends.

Tell us about your team?

We’re a small but growing team based in Helsinki with backgrounds in consumer electronics and international business.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

PowerEgg is launching this summer and will be available across Europe. We have more products planned and can’t wait to share the details.

What are your favourite tech gadgets?

Aside from our own PowerEgg, we love the new cycle computer from Omata

What tech gadgets do you wish you could use to help you?

A robot that dresses and feeds toddlers in the morning…!

To celebrate the launch, PowerVision has launched the “PowerEgg Design Challenge” which invites both professional and amateur designers to submit outstanding external designs for the pioneering and elegant PowerEgg flying robot.

Three lucky winners will receive a cash prize, a first edition PowerEgg and royalties from the sale of PowerEgg camera drones featuring their design. The Design Challenge is open now here
