Why will the company / product do well?

At the moment we compare savings accounts, mortgages, credit cards, personal loans & SME Business Loans – this Is just the tip of the iceberg and in the future will have a section of the website dedicated to all the major financial decisions that people make in their lives. Our aim is to make personal finance easy to understand and to enable users of our websites to achieve their financial goals.

Where are you based?

We are a small team based in Dublin.

When was the company launched?

The company was launched in December 2015 and has already grown a strong following across social media.

What have been your biggest wins to date?

Our biggest wins so far were getting quality partners on board who are aligned with our mission of providing value for the Irish consumer – CurrencyFair and Taxback are two Irish consumers that have really shaken up the market in Ireland in currency exchange and Tax and really help consumers save money on services that  they were previously overcharged on.

What type of people (market segment) are you trying to attract to your product?

Our product is aimed at people trying to get a handle on their finances & to achieve their financial goals. From a graduate in his first professional job to a young family trying to look after their children.

What are you long term plans for your product / company?

Long term we want to be the resource people use when making financial decisions and to help as many people as possible to achieve their financial goals. This will involve expanding the lines of products that we compare and publishing articles covering a wide range of personal finance topics such as tax, investments & pensions.

How do people get in touch with you?

Our twitter is here : https://twitter.com/moneybagsie

Anything you’d like to add?

The website is only the tip of the iceberg and will eventually cover all areas of personal finance and that we are passionate about helping everyday consumers save money and achieve their goals. I think at the moment in Ireland consumers go to the same banks & financial institutions because that is what they have already done but the world is changing and there are options now in Ireland that people need to embrace and not be taken for idiots!
