After two successful hikes in Cruagh and Glendalough, Start Up Hiking are taking the show on the road and heading to Kerry.

For those of you unaware, Start Up Hiking aims to create an inclusive atmosphere for tech networking outside of the traditional pub meet up scene.

Demand for the previous two events has been high with both selling out quickly.

The group plan to trek from Derrymore to Tralee town along part of The Dingle Way. In conjunction with the WASup Kerry event on Friday October 17, the Start Up Hiking crew plan to make a weekend of it and take in the scenic journey the next day.

Leaving at 10.30am on Saturday, the 10K hill walk is expected to take 4 hours with the itinerary looking like this:

10:30am – Bus departs Fels Point Hotel

11am – Arrive at Derrymore to start the hike – map available here

1pm – Lunch at Blennerville Picnic Area

2:30pm – Hike finishes at Fels Point Hotel

If you are heading to the WASup Kerry event or will be in the area at this time, Start Up Hiking is a great way to network and meet new people while taking in some great views and getting fit!
