Speakers announced for Quest for Quality Conference 2018 October 3rd-4th

When and where is it on?

Comtrade Digital Services, the leading software engineering services and solutions provider, will be hosting its Quest for Quality conference on 3rd and 4th October 2018 in Dublin’s Marker Hotel.

How many years has it been going?

The annual software testing conference has been running since 2016. This is the second year running that it is taking place in Dublin. Last year, the event was a huge success, attracting more than 150 high-level software testing professionals from across Europe to learn about the obstacles facing quality assurance in the IT industry within the area of digital transformation.

What was the inspiration to start it?

Every decade brings new challenges and therefore approaches and solutions. In the new IT era of IoT, machine-learning, big data and blockchain, it is important to look at how quality assurance and technology is evolving. Big changes will continue and will bring new challenges but also opportunities. Quest for Quality helps to connect experts and explore the issues associated with such developments.

What exciting things can people look forward to for the 2018 version?

This year’s topic is ‘reinventing quality assurance for the new IT era’ and the event will bring together some of the brightest and most innovative thought leaders, experienced practitioners and quality assurance experts from Ireland and abroad to discuss agility, artificial intelligence, test automation, blockchain technology, edge computing and much more.

What opportunities are on offer for those attending?

Quest for Quality is not the typical testing conference. It offers networking opportunities as well as panel discussions, presentations and workshops. It gives attendees the opportunity to learn about how interconnected, multiple platforms and application programming interfaces are changing the world of software testing. It will also focus on the technologies and methods that IT teams can adopt in order to thrive in an ever-evolving industry. As well as the role of quality assurance and the impact of machine learning in this area, the developments and challenges associated with testing new technologies such as blockchain and decentralised applications will be explored.

Who will be speaking?

Speakers at the event include thought leaders and innovators in Quality Assurance. Among the speakers this year are Benjamin Talin from 361 Group, Anna Royzmann from Test Masters Academy and Ingo Phillip from Tricentis, joined by innovators and quality assurance experts from leading companies like Pinterest, Intel, Asana Rebel, Salesforce, GetTaxi, Applitools and many more. They will be exploring a range of topics including how to improve mobile application builds on systems like Android through containers, the need to prioritise the customer experience through domain driven testing, and the benefits of appreciating the R&D process.

How can people book tickets / when does it usually sell out?

People can find out more and register for the Quest for Quality Conference 2018 at the website. Early bird prices are available until 30th June.
