Rent the Runway begins hiring spree for 150 techies for first International Office

Rent the Runway, the company that created the world’s first living, sustainable closet by enabling women to rent versus buy their clothing, has announced two upcoming recruitment events that will explore the intersection of technology and sustainable fashion, that takes place in Galway.

Hosted by Rent the Runway’s Software Architect & Senior Staff Engineer Jeremy Johnstone, the first event will give prospective employees a chance to learn about Rent the Runway through a tech talk and panel discussion with the New York Rent the Runway team. Taking place on Tuesday, the 18th of June at Hyde Bar & Gin Parlour in Galway and hosted in conjunction with CPL, potential recruits will also have an opportunity to meet and speak in person with members of the Rent the Runway team based in Galway.

In addition, a fashion tech talk and panel discussion will take place on Thursday, the 20th of June at the Portershed in Galway. Hosted by Josh Builder, the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product at Rent the Runway, the event will discuss how Rent the Runway has created a tech solution for a global problem. This tech talk will be followed by a panel discussion on sustainability in fashion and will be moderated by Breda Fox, the CEO of Local Enterprise Office Galway. Participating in the panel will be Anushka Salinas, Chief Revenue Officer at Rent the Runway, Aoibheann MacNamara, Owner and Designer at The Tweed Project; and Alison Conneely, Creative Director, and Designer at Alison Conneely Designs.
