Rent the Runway Announce Event to Empower LGBTQ+ Voices in Tech

Rent the Runway, as part of the Altantec Festival, is excited to announce an upcoming event, Building a Diverse and Inclusive Workforce: Empower LGBTQ+ Voices in Tech.

Taking place on Monday May 15th, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at PorterShed a Dó, Market St, Galway, the evening will include both an open panel discussion and a networking session.

The panel will feature LGBTQ+ leaders and industry experts from Galway, discussing their experiences, challenges, and successes working in the tech industry as well as sharing their insights on how all companies can look to create an inclusive culture in the workplace.

Moderated by John Quinlivan, Engineering Lead at Rent The Runway, the panel will include  Vanessa Lynch, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner at Genesys, Amelia Gannon, Software Engineer at Signify Health and Steve Muir, Manager CX Incident Response at Coinbase who all have experience leading ERG’s [Employee Resource Groups] over their career in tech.

The goal of the event is to give LGBTQ+ voices a platform to highlight their real life experiences working in tech and bring the audience up to speed on the current state of affairs for the LGBTQ+ community in Ireland. In addition, the event will provide networking opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals working in Tech to connect with each other and DE+I leaders for the community.

Audience numbers are limited and admission is free.  The event is strictly ticketed and early eventbrite registration is advised.
