Reep Rewards Launch New Cashback+ Feature

Reep Rewards is set to shake up the grocery market with the launch of its new Cashback+ feature.

Cashback+ will allow Irish shoppers to earn cash back from selected grocery brands by simply taking a photo of their shopping till receipt.

The launch comes on the back of 12 months of growth for Reep Rewards with over 50,000 people using the app over the past 30 days and over 100,000 now registered for the cash saving service.

Reep Rewards CEO, James Lenehan explains, “Cashback+ is a really exciting new feature that enables brands to motivate shoppers to buy or try their products. They do this by offering coupon style cash payments to eager shoppers. Rather than having clients clip coupons however we ask them to purchase the products and claim the cash rebate from the brands afterwards by taking a picture of their shopping receipts. We arrange the offers and we collect your cash from the brands and give it back to you.

“For example, an ice-cream brand may decide to offer 50c off its product to help drive sales over a 2 week period. Thousands of Reep Rewards users will see this offer within the Cashback+ section of the Reep app, make the purchase and then use Reep to claim their cash back”.

“We have around 15 top brands already for the launch with more coming on stream in April and May. The cashback offers are totally exclusive to Reep and we expect to have up to 40 offers available to Irish shoppers each week when we are fully up and running with this feature” said Lenehan.

To claim their cash back the customer purchases the item and retains their receipt as proof of purchase. They open the cashback+ section of the Reep app, select the grocery Store where they made the purchase and then complete the final steps by taking a photo of their receipt.

This cash credit accumulates over time allowing you to purchase rewards like cinema passes and giftware but you can also transfer the money into your own bank account via Paypal. Using the Reep Rewards app could deliver an annual cash reward of up to €750 for Irish families. Early adopters include Kellogg’s, Brennan’s and Heinz.

To start earning cash back now, download the App from the Google Play Store here for Android devices or for iOS from this link.
