This year’s Digital Media Awards in Dublin highlighted the best and brightest in a thriving all Ireland industry, with agency Origin Digital taking home top honours in a hugely impressive field.
The Digital Agency based in Holywood and headed by Jill Robb, Jonny Kelly and Jerry Staple, serves clients across the UK and Ireland such as Danske Bank, PWC, Cornmarket Insurance, BBC and O’Neill’s.

Accenture’s Digital Media Awards took place on Friday night in the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Dublin. In their twelfth year, they are the most prestigious Digital Awards in Ireland, recognising the best in creativity and innovation across multiple industries.
Origin Digital were shortlisted and positioned against high calibre businesses including AIB, KBC Bank and Zurich insurance submitted from agencies including Strata3, Havas, Ican and ZOO.Digital.
If innovation was the benchmark, then Belfast agency Origin Digital nailed it! They took a concept and developed it into a fresh and highly innovative approach to communicate with what some might refer to as a “hard to reach audience” – truck drivers!
Origin came out on top for the Best Innovation in Financial services for their work with Cornmarket Insurance. The winning Mobile App, “Truck Buddy”, is a fresh and innovative approach to communicating with a “hard to reach” audience in a relevant and engaging way. The use of Mobile technology as a way of generating leads, promoting the brand and fostering word of mouth has proved to be highly successful, generating over 10k new customer leads!
