By @SimonCocking. Review of PowerShot G9 X MII, available here, MRP € 533.99 and from other sites too of course.
This is a small camera, that fits easily within your pocket or even hand, but with a great punch and ability to take some nice pictures. We found it handy to have out and about with us. Naturally with Canon, the innovative features on previous cameras quickly become standard on the newer iterations. We enjoyed using it, and the younger members of the family were also able to pick it up and use it quickly. The zoom is good, with a not too bad diminution of quality when used. It was also quick to focus when you pulled it out and wanted to use it quickly. The price is interesting, as it is on par or above the price of entry level DSLRs, but, whisper it quietly, maybe the quality and convenience of this is something that makes it worth having to hand when you want to capture pretty good images but without having to bring out all of the photography gear.
