Polymath, the blockchain industry’s first securities token platform, and V Stock Transfer, a stock transfer and registrar firm, have announced a partnership that will allow security token issuers on the Polymath platform to easily utilise the transfer agent and registrar services of V Stock Transfer.
Polymath Network (Polymath) is a decentralised platform that makes it easy to raise capital and create security tokens. The Polymath ST-20 standard embeds regulatory requirements into the tokens themselves, restricting trading to verified participants only. The platform simplifies the complex technical challenges of creating a security token and aims to bring the multi-trillion dollar financial securities market to the blockchain.
V Stock Transfer is a NYC based stock transfer and registrar firm servicing clients ranging from private companies to pre-IPO issuers to NYSE American, NASDAQ and OTC listed companies. VStock Transfer was founded by experienced securities lawyers to provide cost savings, DTC Eligibility, DWAC services, dedicated account managers, FREE 24-7 Issuer access online to shareholder reports, and outstanding customer service.
Security tokens are digitised securities that can be exchanged and traded securely and instantaneously using blockchain technology. Since security tokens are financial securities, they come with many regulations and requirements, including managing the registry of shareholders on an ongoing basis. V Stock Transfer frees up individual companies from the liability and necessity of managing their own registry and cap tables, which can help issuers maintain continuous compliance.
“This partnership with a registered transfer agent marks an important step towards creating a decentralised token registry, which will have benefits for both issuers and investors,” said Chris Housser, COO and Co-founder of Polymath. “Polymath is excited to work with V Stock on this key initiative.”
Yoel Goldfeder, CEO of VStock Transfer, said “As a transfer agent registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission we are happy to be able to work with Polymath who has been on the forefront in taking the initiative to create protocols for regulatory compatible security tokens.”
The Polymath platform now provides issuers of financial securities with warm introductions to advisory firms, legal teams, KYC providers, and transfer agents.
