PCH have announced that it will co-host a PCH Hardware Hackathon weekend in partnership with DCU on 22-24 May 2015 at the DCU Innovation Campus in Glasnevin.
The PCH Hackathon aims to attract Ireland’s makers, designers, engineers, technology-enthusiasts, marketers, designers and anyone interested in the idea of bringing products to life to get their hands dirty to make a prototype of a connected device in just three days.
This is the third Hackathon to be hosted by PCH in Dublin in partnership with DCU Innovation Campus, and follows successful events in 2014. New elements have been added to this PCH Hackathon’s agenda, including:
On Friday 22nd May, PCH Hackathon participants will be invited to pitch ideas to the crowd and attract attendees to form design and production teams.
In 54 hours, the teams will go from idea to prototype with help from mentors. The event will included one-on-one mentorship, optional workshops, speakers and pitch practice.
During the hackathon, participants will have access to a list of resources including developer kits, prototyping tools, as well as 3D printers, CNC machines, soldering irons, and a laser cutter.
