Esri Ireland has appointed Paul Synnott as its new director and country manager.
Esri Ireland, the local point of presence for Esri, the global leader in Geographic Information’s Systems (GIS), today appointed Paul Synnott to its board of directors. Paul, in his current role as country manager, is responsible for leading Esri Ireland’s business strategy for development and growth, on the island of Ireland. He brings more than 25 years’ geospatial-industry experience to his new role.
Paul’s appointment as a Director will ensure continued strategic development, corporate governance and business confidence for both staff and customers, as he plans to substantially grow Esri Ireland.
Paul has been part of the Esri community in Ireland since 1996, where, as GIS manager for Paradigm Technology, he managed the company’s GIS practice, including software product sales, GIS training and consultancy services.
At Esri Ireland – formed in 2002- Paul has held many different roles such as product trainer, professional services consultant, account manager, sales executive and sales manager, before being appointed to country manager in 2010.
Paul Synnott said: “I have a passion and enthusiasm for driving and improving business performance through a relentless focus on customer success and a strongly held belief in the value of people development. Together with my executive management team, we have consistently delivered year on year sales & revenue growth while maintaining strong profitability, evidenced by double-digit return on sales.”
Paul completed an MBA in Henley Business School in 2013, having previously studied Sales Management at the Irish Management Institute and Geomatics at Dublin Institute of Technology.
