Oath Launches EMEA HQ in Dublin & Announces Ambitious Plans for Growth by 2020

Oath has officially launched Oath EMEA Ltd, its new Dublin EMEA HQ located at North Wall Quay. This is an important move for Oath, signaling the company’s major international expansion plans, and Oath’s long-term commitment to Ireland.

The Oath EMEA HQ will play a key part in driving the company’s ambitious global growth targets. By 2020, Oath aims to:

  • Double global users – from 1 billion to 2 billion
  • Expand award-winning in-house creative unit RYOT Studio across the EMEA market
  • Announce multiple new reseller and distribution partnerships

Oath, a Verizon company formed in June 2017 following the combination of AOL & Yahoo, is a house of media and technology brands; including HuffPost, Yahoo Mail, TechCrunch, AOL.com, Tumblr, Flurry and Yahoo Gemini.

Oath currently employs approximately 1500 people in EMEA, and with its major brands and services, reaches over 75% of the population in the EU5 region. The company has also recently identified premium partners in UAE, Romania and South Africa to drive additional scale. Oath is also expanding its award-winning RYOT Studio offering throughout the region. RYOT Studio is a next-generation creative solution offering a premium end-to-end content marketing solution that brings brands’ stories to life.

Oath’s Dublin HQ brings together a highly-skilled team; including a large engineering, development and innovation group working on the company’s core products and services for advertisers and publishers globally. Additionally, the unit includes a number of corporate, sales,  and business operations functions comprising over 26 nationalities across a diverse range of disciplines.

Tim Armstrong, CEO, Oath: “The EMEA business is a critical component of our global growth plan, and great talent is the driving force fueling this growth and innovation. Ireland offers a  highly talented and diverse workforce, and today’s announcement of our consolidation in Dublin is a signal of our global investment that will support our members and partners in this region.

“Our mission is to build brands people love and the Dublin team will play a major part in that initiative as we grow our business organically and through new business deals and partnerships to reach our 2020 goals.”

Patrick Scully, MD and Vice President at Oath EMEA Ltd: “The launch of the Oath EMEA HQ in Dublin is a real statement of intent for Oath, and the team here are excited to be at the heart of Oath’s global strategy. Yahoo and AOL have a long and successful history in Ireland, and this move to further leverage our operations in Dublin is a significant but natural step for Oath, building on our track record and demonstrating long-term commitment to Ireland.’’
